Helen | East Carolina University Graduation Photos

Helen’s graduation session at East Carolina University was such a special one for me to photograph—on more levels than usual.

As an ECU alum, getting to go back to campus and walk around through this season of change was a full-circle moment in itself. So much has evolved since I graduated in 2018, and it was honestly amazing to see the campus feeling so alive and familiar all at once.

Even more meaningful was getting to celebrate Helen in this chapter. There’s nothing quite like photographing graduation photos for someone stepping into everything that comes next. You can feel the pride, the relief, the excitement—all of it wrapped into one evening.

We spent the session moving around some of ECU’s most iconic spots, letting the campus be part of her story in a natural way. Helen made it easy—confident, joyful, and fully present in the moment. The kind of session that feels less like posing and more like celebrating.

As a fellow Pirate, I couldn’t be more proud of her and this accomplishment. Watching her step into what’s next is such an honor, and I know this is just the beginning of so many great things ahead.

Congrats, Helen—ECU will always be part of your story, but I have a feeling the best chapters are still to come. 💜🏴‍☠️
