Blake and Ernie’s 5-year anniversary session at Historic Oak View County Park felt extra meaningful in all the best ways. Getting to photograph them again after all this time was such a full-circle moment—especially since I had the honor of capturing their wedding five years ago at the beautiful Amazing Graze Barn.

This location was showing off in the best way for their session. Soft spring colors were starting to come through the trees, giving everything that light, fresh feel that only this season brings. It was the perfect backdrop for a couple stepping back into a familiar season of their story, this time a little older, a little wiser, and still completely in sync with each other.

Blake and Ernie slipped right back into being in front of the camera like no time had passed at all. There’s something really special about working with couples long-term—less explaining, more laughing, and a comfort that shows up in every frame. We spent the evening walking the grounds, talking, and letting the session unfold naturally as the light shifted.

It’s always an honor to be invited back into a couple’s story like this. From their wedding day to this anniversary session, I feel grateful to have documented these milestones alongside them.
